How long does recovery take after eyelid surgery?
Swelling and bruising after eyelid surgery usually last one to two weeks, and mild swelling can last for several weeks. Stitches are usually removed after five to seven days. Most people return to lighter everyday activities after 10 to 14 days. The final result can be seen after a few months. If you develop severe eye pain, rapidly increasing swelling or worsening vision after the procedure, contact the surgeon or call an ambulance on 194 without delay.
At what age can prominent ears be corrected?
In children, prominent ear correction is usually done from the age of five or six, when the ear has reached most of its final size. The procedure can also be done in adults, on one or both ears.
